Our Philosophy

At SunRise Kids Early Education and Care we appreciate each child is unique in their personalities, and the foundation of their development is laid in the early years of their development.  We aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop and learn through play based activities that develops confidence, a sense of identity and joy for learning.

We recognise both families and educators are important role models, and are committed to working in partnership with families to enrich the learning environment of their children.  We demonstrate respect for each family by embracing cultural diversity, varying family values and beliefs, and encouraging parents to actively participate in their child’s development through constant feedback, collaboration and participation in Centre activities.  Families are encouraged to share their culture, language and home experiences.

Our learning environments provide each child with a sense of belonging by providing each child the time, space and opportunity to interact, experience and explore in a secure environment while discovering and developing their unique skills, knowledge and abilities. Our early childhood development programs incorporate social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language, numeracy and aesthetic development of our children.

Are nutritious meals provided?
Yes.  We serve nutritious meals for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late afternoon snack. All food provided is child friendly and sourced from the highest quality and freshest ingredients.   Many of our meals are provided by our child care food provider specialists, Little Tummy Tucker.  Little Tummy Tucker meals are snap frozen to retain all their nutrients, natural colour and flavour.   Their meals are prepared in a high specification HACCP-approved commercial kitchen, under rigorous processes and controls, and are independently micro tested for pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria in a NATA laboratory before being dispatched to our Centres. Little Tummy Tucker is supported by their resident nutritionist and dietician, Kate Di Prima.  We take special care to provide food for children with allergies or special dietary needs such as wheat free, gluten free, dairy free, egg free, lactose free and vegetarian.
Are your staff qualified?
Yes.  We employ a range of qualified staff from University Trained Teachers who hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), TAFE graduates holding Diploma, Certificate 3 or certificate 2 in Children’s Services, to trainees who are working toward a recognised qualification.  All trainees work closely under the supervision of our Centre Directors and Room Leaders.  In addition, our staff are encouraged to participate in professional development in order to broaden and upgrade their skills.

All of our staff hold a suitability card for working with children, current first aid, CPR certificate, asthma and anaphylaxis certification.
